Spirit Aid was founded by David Hayman in 2001 which is a charity organisation, based in Glasgow. Their aim is to alleviate the suffering of children and young people whose lives have been affected by poverty, neglect, abuse, lack of opporunity, humanitarian crisis or even blighted by war. Spirit Aid have operations running in Scotland, Palestine, Afghanistan and Malawi. Visit their live website now at www.spiritaid.org
We have supported Spirit Aid by creating them a new charity website and helping them advance their social media campaign with the focus of raising awareness within the local community. Our digital team have redesigned their logo and built a modern, visually attractive website to help further their awareness.
In order to promote awareness across social media platforms we started first with brand identity. Our team redesigned the Spirit Aid logo and created a bright, inviting website which first opens with an engaging video. The colour palette of Blue and Orange creates a calm perception to welcome the users to the site. Our team effectively used call-to-action buttons to highlight projects, donation buttons and areas of interest.
“We have thoroughly enjoyed working with Spirit Aid. We love the work they do for the community and their dedication to improving the lives of young people. We joined up with Spirit Aid in April 2019 where our team and their families walked 6 miles for charity for the Kiltwalk. We continue to work with Spirit Aid to help them advance their social media and get their message out into the community so that they can continue to support and impact lives. Check out our blog posts following the Kiltwalk below.” Digital Team.
The Spirit Aid homepage opens with a video made by the Spirit Aid team inviting the user to see some of the work that the charity carry out and how they change young peoples lives. We help reinforce this with the colour choice as the blue helps promote health and tranquillity. Throughout the page each section is vibrant which helps stand out and show what they do.
Spirit Aid provided us with films made by the Shooters programme which are aimed at education. Recorded at 1080p quality and optimised using the latest video editing techniques for web usage. Using video on your charity website conveys a personal level of communication and enhances the chances of people supporting your cause & getting involved.
Spirit Aid are very active all year round. From homegrown projects in Scotland to worldwide projects in over 10 countries as a guerrilla team. We display these projects over various pages to improve search engine optimisation. We do a variety of Spirit Aid promotional campaigns on Facebook to promote different projects to help get support and raise donations.
