Deliverables.

Hamilton Business Improvement District approached made in Scotland to discuss a full digital identity upgrade with new branding, website build and social media management. Hamilton BID wanted to provide means of interaction for the businesses within the BID area, and customers of the town, and to provide access to promotions, events and information within Hamilton BID area.

BRANDING AND IDENTITY

Logo Design.

Our goal when creating the new logo for Hamilton Business Improvement District was to design an appropriate, simple, and memorable shape that will be modern and timeless. Through research of Hamilton, we created a variety of designs using the concept of the old Hamilton Coat of Arms and the colour palette which refers to this historic symbol. After client feedback we designed a unique symbol which includes a shield with a flower of cinquefoil and the letter H inside. The logo could appear in two variations, with the full name of the city or with the letter H alone, which is a perfect version for social media.

Website Design.

The website was a key tool in boosting the economy of the Hamilton area and our uniquely designed website offered a seamless browsing experience for users looking to connect with businesses in the Hamilton area. A key aim for the new website for the Hamilton BID was to appear not only as a business directory but instead give visitors the latest news, events and ongoings within the town centre.

Branding your business

Colour Palette.

On research of the Hamilton coat of arms we discovered a few variations, however the primary colour was consistently red with variations including white, black, blue, and yellow. We provided Hamilton BID with a variation of logos incorporating all these colours, finally choosing simplicity with just red, black and white. Throughout the website we have included the yellow and blue tones as supporting colours.
