The team at Made In Scotland, took delight in taking part in the record-breaking Glasgow Kiltwalk 2019. With around 13,000 walkers taking part in this year and an estimated £3.5 million raised, this surpassed any previous attendance or funds raised.
The team set off for the “Wee Wander” at 11am on Sunday, and arrived at the finishing line around 1pm. We then enjoyed some fantastic entertainment and a well-earned meal.
As well as being a great day out for the team (with some surprisingly good weather), our main reason for taking part was in support of our chosen charity Spirit Aid. Spirit Aid helps Scottish children and youth affected by poverty, neglect, abuse, and lack of opportunity. The humanitarian relief organisation is dedicated to alleviating their suffering. Spirit Aid do so much for children and families in the local communities across Scotland. Spirit Aid and their team have inspired Made In Scotland with their work.
The Glasgow Kiltwalk raises and estimated £5000 every year for Spirit Aid and we hope this year we can even surpass this number. Donations are available via the following link https://glasgowkiltwalk2019.everydayhero.com/uk/made-in-scotland if you still wish to donate to our walkers.
All in all, the Glasgow Kiltwalk 2019 was a fantastic day out, for a fantastic cause. We would recommend all to get on board for The Kiltwalk 2020. It really helps make a difference to your chosen charity!
