Scottish Institute for Policing Research (SIPR) is a collaboration between Police Scotland, the Scottish Police Authority, and 14 Scottish universities established to carry out high-quality, independent research and to make evidence-based contributions to policing policy and practice.
The Scottish Institute for Policing Research (SIPR) approached Made in Scotland with the goal of developing a new website and digital identity package that would better reflect their values and enhance accessibility. SIPR wanted their digital presence to be modern, user-friendly, and easily navigable by all audiences. A key component of the project was to design a platform that could support the organization’s extensive archive of valuable resources and research materials, making them readily available to users online.
To address this, we developed a custom database that allowed SIPR to manage and update their resources with ease. This user-friendly content management system gave the SIPR team full control over their online content, enabling them to regularly update their archives without needing technical expertise. The seamless interface ensured that they could efficiently manage documents, resources, and other digital materials, helping SIPR to stay relevant and accessible to their audience.
This request for an easy-to-use content management system is something we encounter frequently in new website projects. As more organizations move towards a paper-free environment, the demand for online storage solutions that allow team members to access and manage documents effortlessly continues to grow. By developing an intuitive platform for SIPR, we were able to meet this need while ensuring that the organization could maintain an efficient, accessible, and paperless workflow for the future.
