LESI

We developed a modern, user-friendly website for Licensing Executives Society International (LESI), focusing on improving content organization and accessibility. Key features include a searchable database for publications, a global events system tailored to members’ locations, and a dynamic members area where users can manage personal details, access group documents, and interact with fellow members. The site was built with scalability in mind, ensuring ease of management for staff and a seamless experience for users.

Project Details

To begin the project for Licensing Executives Society International (LESI), we conducted an in-depth analysis of their existing website to design a structure that would be both easy for staff to manage and intuitive for users to navigate. One of our primary goals was to ensure that customers and members could quickly locate the content they were seeking. A significant focus was placed on properly organizing and displaying LESI’s vast collection of publications, which date back to the 1970s. We developed a searchable database, making it easier for users to quickly find specific articles related to their search queries. Additionally, we implemented an events system to display global events, categorized by regional or national societies, ensuring that members only see events relevant to their physical location when accessing the members area.

Within the members area, we created a resources panel that allows LESI members to access documents specific to their groups, manage their personal details, and interact with other members through discussions and article sharing. This feature also enables users to add their own resources, fostering collaboration within the society. We worked closely with LESI and NNE to export data from multiple databases and cloud storage systems, carefully sorting and filtering it before importing it into the new website. This more organized approach enables staff to easily manage memberships, new sign-ups, access to resources, and members’ status within the organization.

Throughout the design process, we collaborated with LESI’s designer to ensure the website met the client’s expectations and incorporated modern updates to their existing branding. We created detailed wireframes for the entire site and engaged in multiple feedback sessions with LESI to make adjustments and improvements. These wireframes were shared with the client, allowing them to adjust content as needed before finalizing the design and development plan. Given the scale of this project, we focused on integrating dynamic content to simplify future updates for the client. The final website includes society pages that dynamically display board members, leadership teams, member directories, news, events, and a searchable archive of past events and publications. Public and private content is tailored based on user roles, enhancing both functionality and user experience.

Overall, the LESI website was built to provide a streamlined and modernized platform that supports the organization’s global operations while ensuring ease of use for both members and staff. By incorporating advanced features like dynamic content and a robust members area, we have created a solution that not only meets LESI’s current needs but is also adaptable for future growth.
