KUDOS needed a way to showcase their specialist facilities management services online to promote the launch of a new partnership between ECG Facility Services and Fulcrum Infrastructure Group Limited. This alliance will allow a new way of operating, revolutionising facility service delivery across all their client’s community health sites throughout the UK.
In light of the company background, it is essential to design a web layout that is consistent with the existing branding and reflects the state of the art technology used every day within the business. Made In Scotland firstly designed 2 concepts of website layouts which we could then approach the client with for feedback and direction. (see screenshot below)
KUDOS were impressed with the design and layout having only a few minor changes requested to the layout before we would begin development of the website. Our process is always a “mobile first” development method. This allows us to adhere to the higher amount of traffic expected from mobile devices.
KUDOS provided us with a full content brief, logo and branding guidelines. We then structured out onto each webpage, again paying close attention to layout, typography, readability, accessibility, security and page load times. All of these can also have a massive effect on the way in which Google and other major search engines rank your website. If your site is more accessible to a wider variety of users then you will be ranked higher on the search results page.
Upon completion of the development stage, we moved the website over from our secure testing server to the live domain. We further tested the website on terms of security, page load speeds and image optimisation. Where possible we use SVG graphics in our websites to ensure quicker page load times.
