An Taigh Dubh.
An Taigh Dubh is a luxury self-catering holiday cottage with green credentials. Originally built in the 1800s as a family home, now recently renovated as a luxury holiday cottage on the Isle of Benbecula. With a summer 22’ launch in mind for the cottage, we were approached to create a brand for the business online which included logo design and website build. We added a modern twist to the business traditional ideas, ensuring we captured their vision whilst keeping the look current and on trend.

As a new business the client required full branding with a logo that portrayed luxury and relaxation. The requested colours were ones that reflected nature with an inviting feel.
By incorporating the An Taigh Dubh cottage into the logo design, a direct representation of the building’s outline is captured. This deliberate choice establishes a strong visual connection to the physical location, allowing the logo to serve as a memorable symbol for the business. The outline not only pays homage to the distinctive features of the cottage but also conveys a sense of authenticity and uniqueness, reinforcing the brand’s identity and setting it apart from competitors. With this thoughtful integration, the logo becomes a powerful visual anchor, evoking a sense of familiarity and trust among potential customers.

An Taigh Dubh required a new website to promote their recently renovated holiday cottage and provide an easy booking system to their customers.
Our aim for the above the fold content of the website was to instantly engage the viewer using the stunning location imagery. Through research and discussions with the client we have included a variety of attractions surrounding the cottage accompanied by more beautiful images of the situated landscape.

We developed a user-friendly booking system which was integrated as part of the website. We created the booking system to be clearly visible with a simple 2 click method The benefits of having their own system meant they could structure everything from availability to additional extras, giving the business full control over all bookings and avoiding charges from third-party applications.
Project Outcomes.
An Taigh Dubh were looking to create a full new website, brand and online presence for their luxury cottage opening in Benbecula. The website’s main feature is the integration of a third party booking system, which enables users to book their stay easily at the cottage online.
Since the new An Taigh Dubh website went live, they have seen a vast increase in user traffic and customer engagement. This has helped boost the amount of users that are making bookings.
